First Day:
|
| |
Our representative will be waiting for you at the airport to welcome you to Costa
Rica and to take you to the Hotel Presidente
in San Jose.

Second Day:
|
| |
The bus of Mawamba will be picking you up at the given pick up time. The excursion
will take you by bus crossing the lush rainforest of the Braulio Carrillo National
Park until getting to the Caribbean lowlands for breakfast at the Rio Danta Restaurant.
Afterwards you will continue across banana plantations heading to a little port
after Matina. From there the journey will continue by boat to Tortuguero. During
this boat ride you can enjoy the great scenery and wildlife of the Tortuguero
Canals and the different mouths of the rivers. Once at Tortuguero you will arrive
at Mawamba Lodge for lunch. In the afternoon your tour guide will be taking you
to the town of Tortuguero. Overnight in Mawamba
Lodge.

Third Day:

| |
The highlight of Tortuguero will be an
early boat drive through the narrow canals of the National Park in the search
of caymans, sloths, toucans, turtles and monkeys. You will be delighted and comfortable
while enjoying nature at its best! Returning to the lodge breakfast will be served.
The rest of the morning will be free to relax or to enjoy the facilities of Mawamba
Lodge. Your guide will offer you a hike if you are interested. In the late afternoon
you will have another boat drive in a different section of the park! Lunch, dinner
and overnight in Mawamba Lodge. During the turtle nesting season ( from July to
October ) you will have the opportunity to take the Turtle Night Walk Tour to
see the Green Turtle laying eggs at the beach of Tortuguero ( optional ).

Fourth Day:
|
| |
After breakfast the trip will continue by boat back to Matina and after lunch
in Rio Danta, our transportation
will be taking you to Tabacon Lodge on
the slope of the Arenal Volcano. Once
there you can enjoy the Tabacon Hotsprings
as well as the eruptions of this very active volcano at night. You will have view
to the active side of the volcano from the hotsprings as well as from the lodge.
Overnight at Tabacon Lodge.

Fifth Day:
|
| |
Day at your own leisure. You can take some of the optional tours like horseback
riding to La Fortuna Waterfall,
hiking at the Arenal National Park, white water rafting or a Canopy Tour ( Adventure
). In the afternoon you will have another chance to enjoy the Tabacon Hotsprings
and the amazing eruptions of the Arenal Volcano. Overnight at Tabacon Lodge.

Sixth Day:

| |
After breakfast the shuttle bus transportation will be taking you to the Central
Pacific Coast. It is a very pleasant drive through the mountains and later by
the coast way. The rest of the afternoon will be free to enjoy the beach, the
sunset or the swimming pool of your hotel. The hotel Playa Espadilla has its own
Rainforest Reserve and trails to hike with lots of chances to see monkeys and
wildlife. Overnight at Playa Espadilla.

Seventh Day:

| |
Today you will have time to enjoy the beautiful Manuel
Antonio National Park. This park has 2 of the most beautiful white sand beaches
of the Pacific Coast and nice trails for hiking and for nature observancy. ( Closed
on Mondays ) Overnight at Playa Espadilla.

Eighth Day:
|
| |
The morning will be free at your own leisure. You can enjoy the beach only 50
meters away from your hotel. In the afternoon the shuttle bus will be taking you
back to San Jose. Overnight at the Hotel Presidente.

Nineth Day:
|
| |
Our transportation will be picking you up for your transfer out at the indicated
time.
