( The following itinerary is an example of how the Pura
Vida Roundtrip can be made upon request. Important for you to know is that if
your clients are interested in this package we are always giving you the flexibility
to choose the hotels of your choice, the number of nights staying at each destination,
either shuttle or private transportation in order to adapt it to their travel
plans, budget and time available. Please consult us and we will be more than

Our representative will be waiting for you at the Juan Santamaria
International Airport upon your arrival to welcome you to Costa Rica and for
your transfer to the hotel in San Jose. You will receive a copy of your itinerary
and your vouchers. Please check the information so we can be sure that everything
is alright with your flight schedule and itinerary.
All our clients will receive automatically a Vip Service
at the Juan Santamaría Airport provided by the Costa Rican Tourism Chamber
inside the airport. This means that after you have done customs, a representative
of this chamber will have a board with your names in order to find you. After
this you will receive a sticker with Saint Germain Tours
on it. This will be very helpful at the moment you reach the exit so
our driver can identify you easily.

Sometimes the exit of the airport gets very crowded, so please be alert and
keep watch for our board. If you need assistance to try to reach us please go
to the counter of the Tourism Chamber located near the luggage claim. More

Breakfast included at your hotel and during the tour. Between
6:00 / 6:45 a.m. the tour guide from Mawamba Lodge will be looking for you at
the lobby of your hotel for your tour to Tortuguero. You also have breakfast
included in this package about 1 hour 15 minutes after you have left San Jose.
This way you can decide where is more convenient for you to have breakfast.
Please take all your luggage with you.
The tour starts taking the road that leads to the Caribbean Port of Limon and
crossing the continental divide and the exuberant Braulio Carrillo National
Park. From the bus you can appreciate the lush vegetation of one of the most
biodiverse rainforests of our Caribbean Coast. Once reaching the lowlands a
delicious breakfast will be waiting for you at the Rio Danta Restaurant that
belongs to the Mawamba Group. You will enjoy very much the nice gardens and
the surrounding tropical forest.
( Approx. departure time from Rio Danta: 9:00 a.m. ) The trip will continue
on the main road for a while and later through rural roads and banana plantations
until reaching the little dock Astua near Matina town. ( or you will take your
boat from Caño Blanco dock depending on the water level at the canals
).
Upon arrival you will be having lunch around 1:30 p.m. by the pool at the lodge.
In the afternoon your tour guide will take you to the Tortuguero town where
you will learn about the way of life of its inhabitants. If you prefer you can
also skip this tour and stay at the lodge enjoying the pool or walking by the
beach.
Attention: Although Mawamba Lodge has a privileged location between the beach
and the Tortuguero River, swimming is not permitted or recommended.
( For your tour to Tortuguero we recommend to take the following items: flashlight,
mosquito repellent, swimsuit, sun screen and sun block, clothing for warm weather,
alarm clock and binoculars. The lodge will provide a rain poncho for the tours
and boat transfers. Dark clothing is expected for the night walking tour held
during the sea turtle nesting season from July to September. No cameras, neither
video camera nor flashlights are allowed during this optional tour ). This tour
is not included in this roundtrip and it must be paid directly to the hotel.

At 6:00 a.m. the highlight in Tortuguero will be an early boat
drive through the narrow canals of the National Park in the search of caymans,
sloths, toucans, turtles and monkeys. You will be delighted and comfortable
while enjoying nature at its best! The morning tour starts at 6:00 a.m. and
finishes at 8:00 a.m. with breakfast afterwards. The boats are small and without
a canopy for a better view. Please remember that you need to pay the entrance
fee to the park during the boat tour. The entrance fee is $ 7.00 per person
or the equivalent in colones.
After breakfast you will start your trip back to Matina by
boat ( or you will take your boat from Caño Blanco dock depending on
the water level at the canals ). From Matina the bus of Mawamba will continue
the trip to the Rio Danta Restaurant for lunch. Upon arrival to Rio Danta around
1:00 p.m. you will have lunch and afterwards you will step out of the tour group
to continue your itinerary. From this point the Mawamba shuttle will be providing
you the transfer, after lunch, to the Arenal Volcano area. Aprox. arrival to
the Arenal area: 4.30 p.m.
Rest of the afternoon at your own leisure to enjoy the hot springs.

Day at your own leisure to enjoy your holidays. In the area
there are plenty of tours available
like canopy, rafting, horse back riding and many others. While staying at the
Tabacon Grand Spa you have free entrance to the Tabacon
Hot Springs.

After breakfast ( around 8:00 a.m. ) the shuttle bus transportation
Interbus will be taking you
to the Central Pacific Coast. It is a very pleasant drive through the mountains
and later by the coast way. The rest of the afternoon will be free to enjoy
the beach, the sunset or the swimming pool of your hotel.

Day at your own leisure to enjoy the beach and the sun. We
recommend a visit to the Manuel
Antonio National Park.
This is one of the most visited national parks of the country, due to the fact
that besides its exuberant tropical vegetation it also protects two of the most
beautiful white sand beaches of the Central Pacific Coast.
While enjoying a beach day you are also able to walk through the forest trails
with many chances to find some of the animals in this park, like three types
of monkeys, sloths, iguanas, coatimundis, agoutis, birds and many others. Please
remember that you need to pay the entrance fee to the park. The entrance fee
is $ 7.00 per person or the equivalent in colones.
In the park you will find rustic bathrooms, but no place to acquire food or
drinks. Please take everything you need to spend the day at the beach ( It is
worth! ). Please be careful with our sun even on cloudy days. Costa Rica is
close to the Equator and the sun rays are stronger than in temperate zones.

At 1:35 p.m. a driver from Interbus Shuttle will be looking for you at the lobby
of your hotel for your transfer from Manuel Antonio to San Jose.

Our transportation will be picking you up at your hotel at the
indicated time for your transfer to the Juan Santamaria International Airport.
Please have in mind that you have to pay a departure tax of US $ 26.00 per person

All airlines request, all their clients to reconfirm their flights 72 hours
before departure.
