The SOUTH PACIFIC is
one of the least visited areas in Costa Rica and one of the most exotic and
authentic! You will have an exciting holiday while enjoying nature at its best!
Get to hike and observe the flora and fauna of one of the richest rain forests
from Central America! ( The
Corcovado National Park ) Enjoy snorkeling an hiking in the Caño
Island Biological Reserve! See the beautiful scarlet macaws in their natural
habitat! Thanks to its isolated location, the Osa Peninsula in the south-west
is home to one of the world’s largest diversity of species. The highlight
is Corcovado National Park, preserving a distinct rainforest where more than
100 types of tree prosper per hectare of land. Jaguars, tapirs, ocelots, ara
parrots and many other species populate the peninsula. In the region around
the coast, dolphins cavort and if lucky, visitors can observe humpback whales
from August to December. Off the coast of the Osa Peninsula, Isla del Caño
is a great place to snorkel and dive.
