BIRD WATCHING
Excursion starts at 5:45 a.m. in the morning, after enjoying Coffee or any other beverage and some snacks, with a guide specialized on bird observation and behavior the walk starts on the Galeria Nature Trail where species like Manikins, Wood-creeper, Tyrants and many others representing several families could be seen.
After leaving Galería Trail feel the experience of several species close to you at our Hummingbird Garden; where these amazing birds will be Wonderful to watch.
After this experience and because this protected area is still being used for cattle farming and horse breeding, bird observation will go through pastures, ponds and secondary Forest where species like Toucans, Oropendolas, Tanagers and Hawks could be found.
The walk will go slow, good for adults and children of all ages through trails and terrain easy to walk with an average Temperature of 26 Celsius or 78 Fahrenheit.
Activity lasts between 2 and 4 hours, we recommend bringing binoculars, long pants, hiking boots, insect repellent, sun-block lotion and rain gear, in the tropics occasional rain showers could be present.

This excursion starts in two different ways; whether it be comfortably seated in an tractor cart, that lasts about 25 minutes, or horse back riding approximately 45 minutes or 1 hour, after we arrive at the observation deck we start a 20 walk in the forest where you will see and learn about the tropical ecosystems though one of our specialized guides.
Once you are at the first cable, we start the zip line course using high quality equipment that is constantly checked and renewed to ensure its safety and good condition.
Our cables are located in such a way that they start from platforms at ground level for you best comfort and safety. The cables, 10 in total, span lengths of 135 meters up to the longest of 980 meters; each cable offers a different sensation and experience crossing canyons, observing waterfalls, over the tops of trees or leaving from a spectacular OBSERVATION TOWER 18 meters high. The Fortuna and Pino Blanco waterfalls, along with the majestic Arenal Volcano accompany us on this trek.
RAPPEL
Adventure fully adrenaline and natural scenic beauty with a vertical descent using ropes and harness.

From a platform embedded in the thickness of the beautiful tropical rain forest, after receiving a detailed briefing on how to use all the equipment properly and the safety measures to follow, you will initiate the descent under the supervision and control of our guides.
This descent is full emotions and beauty, for the canyon wall is full of lichens, mosses, ferns, and many other plants and life forms, without counting on the fact that beside us, we have crystalline water falling 80 meters to the canyon floor, which is the height of our descent.
Once at the bottom, the ascent is also filled with emotion as you climb a ladder perfectly secured to the canyon wall where you may develop new skills climbing, with the aid of our guides which will help you climb at all times.
Once you are back up the canyon, you will enjoy flying back to the observation deck via another 300 meter zip line, and from there, head back to reception using the appositive way that you used at begins your adventuresome journey.

Our cables are located in such a way that they start from platforms at ground level for you best comfort and safety. We arrive at an high 18 meter tower by using a 340 meter zip line and crosses a spectacular canyon at the final destination how is the rapel platform where you will live an unequaled adventure.
All cables offer a different sensation and experience crossing inside the forest course using high quality equipment checked day by day and during the tour.
After the tour of canopy, start 80 meters descent filled of emotions, by the canyon wall, full of lichens and other plants and life forms, without counting on the fact that beside us, we have crystalline water falling to the canyon floor.
Once at the bottom, the ascent is also filled of emotion as you climb a ladder perfectly secured to the canyon wall where you may develop new skills climbing, with the aid of our guides which will help you climb at all times.
Once you are back up the canyon, you will enjoy flying back to the next 4 finals cables, where you can observing over the tops of trees or leaving from a spectaculars Fortuna and Pino Blanco waterfalls, along with the majestic Arenal Volcano accompany us on this trek.
At the end you can visit our Maleku village, the “Palenque” is place of reunion, where natives of Maleku tribe will receive you and share their ancestral culture, language, traditions and history; also you can visit our sanctuary of butterfly and poison frogs and the orchids collection.
HORSEBACK RIDING TO FORTUNA WATERFALL

Our park has an extension of over 500 hectares, 1200 acres, where you find areas of pasture lands, lagoons, streams, and waterfalls, primary and secondary forests with special trails for horseback riding: We invite you to enjoy all of this natural beauty.
We have over 50 horses that are trained and accustomed to the most inexperienced rider. This excursion can be done by person of any age.
Our bilingual guides are in charge of not only of your safety but also help you learn about the Natural History in the area. You will always have the possibility to observe multicolored birds, such as toucans, oropendulas, and others; also you may see some mammals like howler monkeys, sloth’s, and iguanas; other attractions are surprises that the ride much more interesting.
The entire activity takes place on private lands away from the noise and dangers of public highways. We also take good care of our animals, which we rotate in a way that they may remain healthy, rested, and well fed.
NIGHT WALK
A new World to explore in the Tropical Forest…
As night falls, the Tropical Forest becomes a different eco-system, where in, the sounds that different life forms emit can be deafening. The insects, amphibians and mammals use these to communicate and protect a territory, or attract a mate.
Using lanterns and walking slowly along a path in good condition, we shall take the chore of detailed searching for frogs like the red eyed leaf frog (Agalychnis Callidrias), Dink frogs of different species (Eleoterodachtillus), and giant predator frogs like the Smoky Jungle frog (Pentadactillus). Venomous and non venomous snakes can be found among which is the famous Terciopelo or Fer-de-Lance (Bothrops Asper), the Bocaracá or Eyelash Palm Pit viper (Bothriechis Schlegelli), non venomous green or brown vine snakes (oxibelis fulgidus or oxibelis aeneus) and some others.
At the same time we can’t leave out various species of mammals like the sloth’s, kinkajous, armadillos, and others that with a little luck and patience can be observed.
In avifauna we can enjoy the owls like the spectacled owl, screech owl and pigmy owls that will be a delight for bird lovers.
A great variety of insects are common in the jungle, and with the help of a specialized guide you will learn the details of the sounds and species that you come across as you adventure into this different world.

HORSEBACK RIDING TO FORTUNA WATERFALL
The duration of this activity can go from one to three hours depending on our visitor’s desires and available time. We can do longer rides do to the extent of our park.
This adventure is combined with an attractive hike, which would take us through primary forests with trees of grate height and diameter. This activity end with a visit to the traditional native Maleku Village and an unforgettable hike, crossing by a hanging bridge, to La Fortuna Waterfall, icon of this side of the world.
