First Day:
|
|
Our transportation will pick you up at your hotel to take you to the Tobias Bolaños
Airport in San Jose for your flight to Drake Bay. This flight takes about 45 minutes
flying toward the Central Pacific Coast with excellent views of the mountains
and forest. Upon arrival to the airstrip a boat will take you to Drake
Bay Wilderness Resort. Once there you will have time to enjoy the resort.
After lunch we recommend to you to kayak up the Agujitas river from the lodge.
Dinner and overnight in Drake Bay Wilderness Resort.
|
Second Day:
|
|
After breakfast a boat will take you to the San Pedrillo Ranger´s Station
of the Corcovado National Park. After registering
and getting ready, you will have an interesting hike with your naturalist guide
through one of the trails of the National Park searching for wildlife. You might
see monkeys, coatimundis, toucans and the beautiful scarlet macaws. Also here
we find some of the tallest and most impressive trees of the Costa Rican forests.
Once back you can relax and enjoy the beach before a picnic lunch with ocean view.
After a tropical siesta your tour guide will hike with you along the river to
a waterfall where you can have a fresh swimm surrounded by lush rainforest. Back
at the lodge you will have time to relax and get ready for the sunset and nice
cocktails with " boquitas " served at the bar of Drake Bay Wilderness
Resort. Dinner and overnight.
|
Third Day:
|
|
On the third day, after picking your snorkeling equipment from the lodge the
boat will head to the exotic Caño
Island. During this boat trip many times you are able to see dolphins and
with a little bit more of luck you can see a whale. Once on the island your
guide will offer you a hike to explore part of the interesting vegetation of
this biological reserve. Afterwards, you will have enough time to snorkel around
the coral reefs in search of multicolored fish. After a picnic lunch there will
be plenty of time to enjoy the beach and relax before heading back to the lodge.
Dinner and overnight at Drake Bay.
