La Fortuna Waterfall is located near the southwest slope of the Arenal Volcano.
( Covered with vegetation ) It takes 30 minutes to get there by car from La
Fortuna town.

We will pick you up at your hotel in the Arenal Volcano area and after a short
drive we will stop at our stables to get the horses. Once ready we will start
the horse back ride through country side roads at a slow pace to enjoy the scenery
and the vegetation of the area.
Once we get to the main entrance of the trail leading to the waterfall we will
let the horses rest to then continue by foot down on a very steep trail. The
hike ( 500 meters ) back up requires a good physical condition. Once at the
base of the waterfall ( 70 meters high ) you can swim in a fresh and cool water
pond.
The total length of the tour is of approximately four hours. The horse back
ride is of approximately 5 ½ kilometers.
