Hotel Cariblue is a small bed and breakfast style resort located 1 mile North
of Puerto Viejo of Talamanca in the Limon Province, on the beautiful white sand
beach of Playa Cocles. The distance from San Jose to Puerto Viejo is 210 km.
Our hard wood bungalows are nestled in a lush tropical garden surrounded by
uncontaminated beaches and wild tropical jungle.

Our luxurious private hardwood bungalows have two queen sized beds and
a bunk bed and house up to 6 people in comfort and style. The bungalows have
private porches with hammocks, mosquito nets, and private bathrooms decorated
in mosaic with hot water.
Our new rooms are in palm-thatched duplex bungalows. The special palm
leaf thatch will keep your room incredibly cool throughout the day. Clean, comfortable,
and private, these new rooms are perfect for newly weds. There is also a hammock
on every porch for reading, napping, or cuddling. The rooms have two
queen sized beds and house up to four people comfortably. They have ceiling
fans, mosquito screen, and private bathrooms decorated in mosaic with hot water
and inviting porches with hammocks.
We also offer a house with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a furnished kitchen.

Cariblue started out as just a couple of bungalows, operated full time by the
owners Leonardo Preseglio and Sandra Zerneri.Leonardo and Sandra took the time
to construct well-built and comfortable hardwood bungalows and took care to
treat their customers right. Over the years, this hard work has payed off in
a big way. Cariblue is now widely recognized as one of the best hotels in Puerto
Viejo, a leader in the field. Cariblue now has 16 rooms, and more are being
built to satisfy our enormous demand. We now have several full-time employees,
a full restaurant and bar, and we are starting work on a new pool and spa scheduled
to be completed in February. Cariblue has grown from a couple of small bungalows,
(or "cabinas" as they are often called here) into a fully equipped
beach resort.
You can enjoy the beach, hike and visit the Cahuita National Park, the Gandoca
and Manzanillo Wildlife Reserve, visit Bocas del Toro, horseback ride, snorkel
or take a canopy tour. See tours of the area.
The lodge is nestled in exotic gardens surrounded by a lush rainforest and
only 50 steps away from the beautiful white sand beach of Cocles. Rustic and
romantic accomodations without luxury but with good taste and functional. The
restaurant offers excellent italian food. The lodge offers great hospitality
and a friendly and efficient service.
